verizon_droid_003How would you like to have high speed mobile browsing on large 3.7" Hi-Res touch screen wherever you go? What about 5MP camera with DVD quality, 720x480 resolution 24fps video recording. How  about newest Google mobile maps with street view and full GPS navigation, not to mention all other free Google mobile services. You can have all that and much more if you're looking for a new smartphone and you want to skip Apple iPhone. New Verizon DROID is latest and meanest Motorola Andorid phone and this could be your new phone. Yes, it has everything you need for your online experience, it's stylish and it's coming with nice 16GB memory (supports up to 32 GB microSD expandable). Full QWERTY keyboard with 5-way navigation keykeyboard is very practical for longer messages and emails, Droid can run multiple apps and you can search now with Google Search by Voice. Also, it has Facebook application already installed and you can download applications for other social networks for free from Android Market. This market is not huge as offer for iPhone users but it will grow more and more, don't forget that android mobile platform is still new for many customers. Let's see some other specs for Motorola Milstone (original name).

Verizon DroidFirst thing that will impress you is huge 3.7" WVGA (480 x 854 pixels) 16:9 TFT capacitive touchscreen. Droid is not to heavy for a huge Verizon Droid Reviewscreen phone, weight is 6 oz.; (169 grams) and it has plastic/metal hosuing. 5M (2592 x 1944 pixels) camera with dual flash, autofocus and 4x digital zoom sounds great but taking images will not be exiting as recording videos, camera is slow to focus and snap pictures but video recording is good. Battery will hold up to 385 min. continuous usage time or 270 hrs in standby mode and in reality battery will be good for 2 days with regular web browsing and some email checking. You'll want to see few videos, listen to music and it will drain faster. With 133 MB for storage, 256 MB RAM of memory and ARM Cortex A8 550 MHz processor, this phone can run multiple apps and is pretty fast. You should get at least 8GB microSD (up to 32GB), class 4 or 6. This will be enough for your video recordings and music. This phone has WiFi and BlueTooth and you can connect it with your computer through mini USB port.

Moto Droid is runing Android OS, v2 (Eclair) OS. Android comunity is getting bigger and bigger and you'll see more and more upgrades in the future. Right now you can use this phone for your corporate email account (Exchange 2003 and 2007), Gmail™, IMAP, POP3, it has attachment and browser document viewer (Microsoft Office® and pdf). Also, you'll find; Digital compass, MP3/eAAC+/WAV/WMA9 player, MP4/H.263/H.264/WMV9 player, Google Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Google Talk, Adobe Flash Player v10.1, Document viewer, Photo viewer/editor, Organizer, Voice memo/dial, T9... But wait until you see Android Market, there are plenty of useful apps and some great games waiting for you, many of them are free.

If you're planning to buy new phone or you want to switch to Verizon, this is the best choice in this moment. Before purchase check Verizon Droid Reviews:
